The Analysis of Material and Safety of Plastic Wrap by Raman Spectroscopy

We studied the Raman spectral of plastic wrap which are made from polyethylene(PE),polyvinyl chloride(PVC),polyvinylidene chloride(PVDC) and polymethylpentene(PMP).We use portable Raman spectrometer analysed the samples' raman spectral at normal temperature and the cooling samples which have been heated in different conditions.Results show that,Raman spectrometer can qualitative analyze different material of plastic wraps in short time at normal temperature;the plastic wrap of polyvinyl chloride(PVC) has serious matter about health,the plastic wrap of polyethylene(PE),polyvinylidene chloride(PVDC) and polymethylpentene(PMP) are safety products.
