Influence of treatment of bamboo surface on adhesion performance

In order to improving the bonding strength of bamboo, the coupling agent was applied to the bamboo surface. Influence of treatment of bamboo surface on laminated bamboo strips lumber (LBSL) adhesion performance was investigated. The results showed that the treatment of bamboo surface can improve the bonding strength of LBSL significantly. The author analysed the reason from comparing the changing of contact angle of bamboo surface after treating with the coupling agent.
