Results of treatment of lymphoma in central nervous system with rituximab

Objective To investigate the therapeutic results of lymphoma central nervous system(CNS)with rituximab.Methods The results of three CNS lymphoma cases treated with rituximab by intrathecal injection were analyzed in combination with reviewing the relevant literatures.Results Complete remission in clinical symptoms and a survival of five years after treatment was observed in two primary CNS lymphoma patients.Partial remission was noticed in a secondary CNS lymphoma patients in clinical symptoms and died ten months after treatment.Conclusion Rituximab used by intrathecal injection is effective for CNS lymphoma with light and mild side effects.
