Design and Implementation of a High Accuracy Digital Inclinometer

To improve the measurement accuracy of the digital inclinometer over the whole operating temperature,an effective zero compensation algorithm and the scale factor compensation algorithm based on the temperature characteristic of the tilt sensor in the inclinometer are proposed.Experimental results show that this method can effectively improve the temperature characteristic of zero and scale factor,the measurement accuracy over the whole operating temperature can reach 0.03°.The operation principle and hardware implementation of the digital inclinometer are also explained in this paper.
