A Case of Tracheobronchomegaly

A 50-year-old man with a long history of chronic bronchitis was admitted to the hospital complaining of fever, chills, cough productive of purulent sputum, and dyspnea. A chest radiograph was obtained, and a diagnosis of pneumonia was made. Additionally, the chest radiograph showed hyperinflation and a markedly enlarged trachea and central bronchi. Thus, the patient's condition was diagnosed as Mounier-Kuhn syndrome, or tracheobronchomegaly.
