Knowledge of the way in which triglyceride is trans- ported in the blood and of the factors that influence the transport process is essential for a proper understanding of the overall distribution of lipids in the plasma that is observed in health and disease. The following account deals with triglyceride transport in normal individuals and provides a basis for com- parison with states of abnormal lipid metabolism.
