Objective To study the situation of human papillomavirus(HPV) infection and hypotype distribution among the married women, and to provide a scientific basis for the HPV epidemiological research. Method Twenty-three kinds of genetic subtypes were detected using PCR-reverse dot-blot method. Results Altogether 371(34.5%) women were HPV positive among the 1,074 patients. There were 252 cases with single HPV type infection,91 cases with double HPV type infection,28 cases with multiple HPV type infection,108 cases with HPV 16,50 cases with HPV 66,and 42 cases with HPV 58.Among all the age groups, the detection rate of the age group of 25~29 years was the highest(7.3%).No statistically significant difference was found in the detection rate of HPV among all the age groups. Conclusions HPV infection and multiple infections are both higher among the married women. The distinction of HPV genotypes is consistent with the distribution law and has a certain regional characteristics.
