Recently, the standard manufacturing route for solid oxide fuel cells has been changed from warm pressing of the anode substrate of Coat Mix® powders towards tape casting of a mixture of yttria stabilized zirconia and nickel oxide to the anode substrate. Due to different shrinkage behavior, especially heat treatment steps and several coating parameters had to be adjusted to the new substrate type. In this contribution, the influence of different processing parameters during manufacturing on the performance of single cells is discussed.
