Objective To investigate abnormal liver function and intervention measures after chemotherapy in patients with gastrointestinal cancer. Methods 500 cases with gastrointestinal cancer hospitalized from January 2008 to January 2013 were retrospectively analyzed, and divided into two groups, control group( 239 cases) and the observation group( 261 cases). the observation group was treated with additional hepatoprotective medicine. The incidence of abnormal liver function were compared and the clinical manifestations and risk factors were summarized. Results 156 patients with malignant tumor after chemotherapy suffered from abnormal liver function, the total incidence rate reached 31. 2%,including 109 cases in the control group( 45. 6%) and 47 cases in the observation group( 18. 0%). The clinical manifestations of anorexia, fatigue, weakness, and nausea and vomiting based, but symptomless is also obvious; liver function abnormalities in ALT,AST,ALP,γ-GT,TBL,ALB increased mainly. Age( 60 years),chemotherapy( 3 cycles),combination therapy, liver, viral hepatitis were liver cancer patients after chemotherapy abnormal risk factors( P 0. 05). while, and the patient's gender, tumor cases unrelated( P 0. 05). Conclusion Liver function abnormalities of patients with gastrointestinal cancer after chemotherapy mainly are elevated transaminase. Abnormal liver function levels and the incidence rate in patients not receiving hepatoprotective drugs are higher than those of the other. Hepatoprotective drugs should be used to prevent drug-induced liver injury on the application of chemotherapy in clinic simultaneously.
