Non-traumctic avascular Necrosis of the Femoral Head

Abstract Avascular necrosis of the femoral head may be caused by various reasons. Among the most frequently encountered in the clinic are necrosis produced by the damaged of the vessels supplying the head as a result of injury and Perthes-calve-legg disease. Although avascular necrosis of the femoral head developing besides the above cited two main groups were assessed as idiopathic previousiy it has been possibl to elucidate etiogenesis in some cases by extensive studies achieved during the last 20-30 years. In this study of ours attempts have been made to describe experiences obtained by means of six cases of non-traumatic avascular necrosis of the femoral head and treated in our Clinic during the years 1976-1979. Klinikte en çok görülenler travma sonucu başı besleyen damarların hasara uğramasıyla ortaya çıkan nekrozlarla Perthes-Calve-Legg hastalığıdır. Bu iki ana grup dışında oluşan femur başı avasküler nekrozları eskiden idyopatik olarak nitelendirilmekteyken son 20-30 yılda yapılan yaygın çalışmalar sonucu bir kısım olgularda etyopatogenez aydınlatılabilmiştir. Bu yazıda 1976-1979 yılları arasında kliniğimizde teşhis ve tedavi edilen 6 nontravmatik femur başı avosküler nekrozu olgusu nedeniyle elde edilen deneyimler anlatılmıştır.
