摘要
Ports are critical components of global logistics. They serve a vital function in the supply chain and in global commerce by providing essential services to stakeholders. These factors are affected by the volatile market landscape. Inefficiencies in port logistics can disrupt supply chains. This study presents a flexible plan for port logistics to address the needs of stakeholders. Port functions were identified. The port characteristics were outlined using SWOT analysis. Effective actions are introduced to address the port’s opportunities and vulnerabilities. This study focuses on the ports of the Isafjordur network in Iceland, one of the country’s most active cruise destinations. The findings suggest that marine catch, aquaculture, and cruise ship activities can be distributed throughout the port network. The port authority is advised to foster value-adding clusters across the network. These findings promote supply chain integration by enhancing collaboration among ports within the network, thus maintaining its competitive edge.
