Crystal Structures of Iron‐Based Oxides and Their Catalytic Efficiencies for the Oxygen Evolution Reaction: A Trend in Alkaline Media

Abstract Invited for this month's cover picture are the groups of Prof. Takeo Yamaguchi and Prof. Keigo Kamata at Tokyo Institute of Technology. The cover picture illustrates the data‐driven investigation of the trend in the crystal structures of iron‐based oxides and their electrocatalysis on the oxygen evolution reaction (OER). The investigation using 24 kinds of iron‐based oxides concluded that the OER efficiency on iron‐based oxides was uniquely determined by the Fe–O bond length in the bulk crystals of the materials.
