摘要
Summary Incorporating multiples in the seismic imaging has already become a recognized approach. However, it is not yet fully investigated how to find an optimum way of constructing an image: whether it is better to image the total data or image primaries and surface multiples separately. In this paper we try to find an approach that takes the most out of the imaging using multiples. We propose to modify the full wavefield migration (FWM) approach in order to perform joint inversion of separated surface multiples and primaries. It is also shown that separation of surface multiples and primaries can be done using the forward model of FWM, without relying on dense source spacing.
