Content determination of ginsenoside monomers in one-year-old farmland ginseng and American ginseng by HPLC

In order to explore the contents of ginsenoside monomers between farmland ginseng and American ginseng,the contents of ginsenoside monomers were analyzed comparatively in farmland ginseng and American ginseng by RP- HPLC. The results indicated that one- year- old farmland ginseng contained nine kinds of ginsenoside like Rg1,Re,Rf,Rg2,Rb1,Rc,Rb2,Rb3,Rd,and Aamerican ginseng contained 7 kinds of ginsenoside such as Rg1,Re,Rb1,Rc,Rb2,Rb3,Rd.The contents of ginsenoside monomers in American ginseng were higher than that in farmland ginseng except for Rb2; the differences of 7 kinds of ginsenoside monomers were significant( p 0.05).The contents of ginsenoside monomers in farmland ginseng and American ginseng met the quality standards of Chinese Pharmacopoeia.
