Change and significance of ABCG2 expression in esophageal cancer tissue

Objective To study the expression of ABCG2 in esophageal cancer tissue and to investigation the significance.Method Specimens was gained from 80 patients with esophageal cancer,which detect the ABCG2 in cancer and normal specimens by immunohistochemistry and Western blot.Results Expression of ABCG2 in cancer tissue was increased than normal tissue(P0.05).Quantity of expression of ABCG2 in esophageal cancer was contribute to 3 a mortality(P0.01),and increased expression of ABCG2 in esophageal cancer was tumor specific contribute to early recurrences(P0.05).Conclusions The expression of ABCG2 is up-regulated in esophageal cancer tissue.ABCG2 may be considered as a supplementary predictor prognostic in esophageal squamous cell cancer.
