Strengthening Non-core Technology Innovation to Attain Core Competencies of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises

This paper firstly presents the urgency of enhancing core competencies of Chinese enterprises, features and sources of core competencies. Secondly, through the research of the relationships between the core competencies and non-core technology innovation and the analyses of the situation of Chinese small-and-medium-sized enterprises, it discusses approaches for enterprises to form core competencies and finally to survive and develop in the fierce market competition through non-core technology innovation.
