An Overview of Golden Monkey Parasites and Parasitosis in China

Golden monkey,with high scientific research,protection and ornamental values,is on the list of class I protected animals in China.Four species of golden monkeys(Rhinopithecus roxellana,Rhinopithecus brelichi,Rhinopithecus bieti and Rhinopithecus strykeri)distribute in China.Parasites are the one kind of most harmful pathogens to the health of the golden monkeys.More than 40 species of parasites in golden monkeys have been reported in previous studies.This article provided an overview of the research progress on parasites and parasitosis in golden monkey in China,which will contribute to protection and scientific research of the rare monkeys.
