Polyurethane Foams for Aircraft Shock Mounts. IV. Other Polyols.

Abstract : A number of polyether polyurethane flexible foams are being developed as shock mitagators for electronic equipment aboard Navy aircraft. These foams are based on polyol mixtures derived from poly(oxytetramethylene) glycol and poly(oxypropylene)polyol. This report describes the effect that changes in the basic polyol composition has on the foam's vibration damping and mechanical properties.
