The green synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using various natural resources is one of the emerging fields of green nanotechnology. Researchers are investigating various eco-friendly ways to synthesize nanoparticles after receiving a lot of attention a while ago for AgNPs. Synthesis of nanomaterials and nanoparticles utilizing bottom-up and top-down methods. This assessment consequently covers the broad categories of potential health concerns as well as the physical, chemical, and green processes. The use of dangerous chemicals or their high costs, respectively, have made many chemical and physical methods less common today. Researchers and producers would greatly benefit from this work's full understanding of the approaches to the eco-friendly synthesis of green AgNPs. The analytical methods for characterizing AgNPs and their antibacterial mechanisms of action, as well as the various applications for their antimicrobial, antifungal, antibacterial, antiviral, anticancer, and other effects, are covered for all significant aspects of AgNPs.
