Cyclopentadienyl Nickel Complexes

The major developments on chemistry of nickelocene, its ring-substituted derivatives, related sandwich complexes, and various mono-cyclopentadienyl nickel complexes have been comprehensively described since 2006. This chapter is organized according to the general type of complexes, that is: Ni(Cp)(X)(L), [Ni(Cp)(L1)(L2)]+, Ni(Cp)(L) radical, bimetallic and multimetallic species, including clusters. The synthesis, reactivity studies, structure elucidation by spectroscopic techniques and single-crystal X-ray diffraction, as well as catalytic applications, are the focus of this chapter.
