A DPPH-microplate assay and a DPPH-titerplate assay were made to determine the free radicals scavenging activities of methanol extracts from fresh leaves of the Oxalis family. The results revealed that all tested plants have different free radical scavenging activities.Of all tested plants,Oxalis rubra has the strongest free radical scavenging activities.Tests also showed that the free radical scavenging activities of extracts from the tested plants are related positively to their concentrations, and plants planted in garden pot have stronger scavenging activities than that in other place.DPPH-TCL assays revealed that different ground-drive plants have different chromatograms, and the same plants have the same TCL maps.
