Zinc Powders Preparation by Alkaline Electrowinning from Hot Galvanizing Slag

The zinc powders,with 3.9m2g-1 specific surface area and 98% zinc content and 0.23% impurities content(Cd,Pb,Cu,Fe),are prepared by alkaline zinc electrowinning from hot galvanizing slag.The morphologies of zinc powders are varied from dendritic to nodular with the electrolyte temperature increase,and the slowcorrosion property of zinc powders is enhanced.The zinc crystals are sheet-shaped form dendrits,sheety form dendrits,and lapidescent form dendrits while without additives,in presence of Tween 60 or C12H25-C4H4-SO3Na, respectively.
