Quartz surface that was modified by dichchlorodimethylsilane can adsorb lysozyme by the hydrophobic interaction. This adsorption kinetics process was monitored real time by a piezoelectric sensor. It was shown that lysozyme was adsorbed in monolayer and partly reversible. The rate constants for adsorption and desorption were estimated to be k a=36.4mol -1 .kg.s -1 and k d=8.92×10 -3 s -1 ,respectively. The ratio for reversible adsorption and the adsorption densities of saturation monolayer increases with increasing lysozyme concentration.
