Determination of anionic-active matter in detergents by potentiometric titration

A potentiometric titration method for the determination of anionic-active matter in commercial detergents is presented as an alternative to the two-phase, colour-indicator titrations commonly used. An easily made membrane electrode is used to indicate the end-point of titrations with a standard solution of cationic surfactant.
