Fiber Reinforced Plastic(FRP)is a new type of structural material with distinctive advantages of high strength, lightweight and corrosion-proof ability. With different shaping techniques, the bridge structures with FRP material can be categorized as pultruded FRP bridges and poured FRP bridges.Information about FRP from multiple perspectives is introduced, including the shaping techniques for the pultruded and poured FRP,the engineering practice of pultruded and poured FRP bridges both at home and abroad, the exploratory application of resin-filled bolt connecting technique and 3D woven fiberglass fabric to bridges.Meanwhile, the problems related to the application of FRP to bridges waiting to be resolved involve the structural connecting safety and durability, bridge stiffness and cost.
