RESEARCH ON COMPRESSIBILITY OF BASALT UNIDIRECTIONAL FIBER CLOTH

The compressibility of basalt unidirectional fiber fabric in the compress process was studied by fiber compression model in this paper.It was found that the compress process of basalt unidirectional fiber fabric was conformed to Gutowski equation and was independent of the thickness of fiber lay-up.On this base,the equation measured fiber volume content variation in compress process of basalt unidirectional fiber fabric was obtained by fitting the experimental data.
