The effect of Weixiong Scar Cream on bFGF and FN in hypertrophic scar

Objective To investigate the effect of Weixiong Scar Cream on bFGF and FN in hypertrophic scar and to understand the preventive mechanism of Weixiong Scar Ceram to the hypertrophic scar. Methods The immunohisto-chemical method has been used to determined the bFGF and FN expression in the hypertrophic scar of 32 patients examples. Results The expression of bFGF and FN in the hypertrophic scar treated with the Weixiong Scar Cream is much lower than that in the control group during the time of 30 days and 60 days posttreated respectively. Conclusion Weixiong Scar Cream has some effects on preventing hypertrophic scar by inhibiting the bFGF and FN expression.
