A solid-state potentiostat for controlled cathode-potential electrolysis

The design and operation of a simple potentiostat for routine electrochemical analysis is described. Linear integrated circuits are used and the reference potential, which can be varied from 0 to –2·00 V, is derived internally from a Weston standard cell. The apparatus is simple to operate and can be built for about $A140 (£80).
