The Mechanism of Optimum Vulcanization in Some Synthetic Rubbers

Abstract 1. We investigated the tensile strength and types of sulfur in vulcanizates prepared from butyl rubber and neoprene. 2. It became evident that optimum vulcanization in these vulcanizates is caused by the disintegration of intramolecular polysulfides.
