Effect of salicylic acid on fresh storage and systemic acquired resistance of postharvest fruits and vegetables

The effect of salicylic acid on fresh storage and systemic acquired resistance of postharvest fruits and vegetables were reviewed.The fresh storage mainly focused on the effect of salicylic acid on ethylene biosynthesis,membrane lipid oxidation,the antioxidant and respiration rate of postharvest fruits and vegetables.The systemic acquired resistance focused on the effect of salicylic acid on the signal molecule defense mechanism and the active oxygen metabolism of postharvest fruits and vegetables.
