Electrophoretic isozyme patterns of esterases (α and β) in three races i. e. PM, Dz andKA of Bombyx mori have been studied during ontogenic development. A composite zymogram revealedpresence of sixteen, twenty one and nineteen isozymes for a-esterase in PM, Dz and KA races respec-tively. Fifteen, nineteen and fifteen bands were noticed for fyesterase during ontogeny in PM, Dz andKA respectively. Many of the isozymes appear, disappear and reappear in developmental stages. How-ever, larvae showed maximum esterase heterogenity.
