Analysis of results of heavy metals in beauty cosmetics in Yiwu from 2007 to 2009

Objective:To guarantee the qualities of cosmetics in Yiwu,and to provide basis for further hygienic management.Methods:The results of the cosmetics detected from 2007 to 2009 in Yiwu city were collected and analyzed.Determination was performed according to the hygienic standard for cosmetics(version 2007).Results:366 cosmetics were detected in all,and 3 cosmetics were unqualified,with a qualified rate of 99.18%.Among the cosmetics,the qualified rates of perfumes and the others were both 100%,the mercury levels of 2 eye-shadow for eye cosmetics and the lead level of a lipstick for lip cosmetics exceeded hygienic standard,and arsenic level of 366 cosmetics were below the hygienic standard.Conclusion:In order to improve the sanitation of cosmetics,the supervision and regular monitoring of cosmetics should be strengthened,and much more attention should be paid to eye cosmetics and lip cosmetics.
