Investigation of Nylon-6 Solid State Postpolycondensation

To investigate the influence of polymerization conditions, such as polymerization time, polymerization temperature and nitrogen gas flow rate, on Nylon6 solid state postpolycondensation by using extractive and dry pellets. The crystallinity, water content and the molecular weight distribution are determined. The experimental data show that the proper polymerization time is 24 h and, the polymerization temperature is 185℃. The variance of the molecular weight distribution is slight.
