Study on the Characteristic of Straw Fiber for Manufacturing Biodegradable Fiber Mulch

Product features and processing technology were determined by characteristics of raw materials in great degree,thus,studying on physical and chemical and mechanical pulping characteristic of fiber for manufacturing biodegradable fiber mulch were important significance.Straw fiber morphology was determined by Leica microscope,statistical analysis of the length,width and aspect ratio were studied by SPSS17.0.Physical and chemical between types of straw and straw fiber and mechanical pulping characteristic significance,straw fiber composition content through machining were done with Design-expert 6.0.10.The results showed that soybean straw fiber length,width and aspect ratio were 17 mm,1887 μm,17,while eggplant straw fiber were 11 mm,1338 μm,20;soybean straw cellulose content was 48.7 %,hemicellulose content was 12.7 %,lignin content was 15.65 %,eggplant straw cellulose content was 34.31 %,hemicellulose content was 11.03%,lignin content was 10.69 %;After the mechanical processing,soybean straw hemicellulose significantly increased,cellulose and lignin significantly decreased,eggplant straw hemi-cellulose and lignin content significantly increased,cellulose was not significantly change;soybean straw fiber cellulose content was significantly higher than eggplant straw fiber,lignin content was significantly lower than eggplant straw fiber;soybean straw was fit for mulching after mechanical processing.
