In this study proximal tubular function was tested in 22 patients with the nephrotic syndrome by measuring lysozyme and glucose urine to serum concentration ratios. Eight of the patients had renal glycosuria, with urine concentrations ranging from 35 to 186 mg/100 ml at serum values below 135 mg/100 ml.
