Mathematical Instructional Theory in the Light of Constructivism

On the basis of constructivism,the authors of this paper have reconsidered the nature of mathematics and the process of mathematical teaching.They hold that both mathematical invention and mathematical learning are the outcome of the unity of individual construct and social construct and that the relationship between mathematics,individual and society must be of reciprocal nature in mathematical teaching.They put forward hereby that“learning mathematics in the mathematics problem solving” should be the basic idea in mathematical teaching design.
