The effect of surface and interface has a vast contribution on adhesion process. The influence of wetting and adsorbing of material surface and interface on adhesion are introduced in this paper. Its content includes the surface tension and interface tension, contact angle, determination of solid surface energy, wetting and wetting rate, adhesion work and stability of adhesion interface, and the contrast of adhesion and absorption.
