Facts and meaning are two different cognitive objects,which correspond with two different cognitive methods respectively.Facts should be grasped by means of cognitive method while meaning ought to be revealed in the way of comprehension.The cognition of facts differs greatly from the comprehension of meaning and the two cognitive methods should not be confused.In contemporary epistemology,cognitive methods have been deeply studied while the method of comprehension has been somewhat neglected.Modern epistemology has turned its attention to the issue of the comprehension of meaning and opened up a new route for the development of epistemology.
