Synthesis of α-bromo-4-benzyloxy acetophenone

Objective: A new approach to prepare α-bromo-4-benzyloxy acetophenone was introduced.Methods: α-Bromo-4-benzyloxy acetophenone is synthesized with 4-hydroxy acetophenone and bromonium as materials and methanol as solvent.Results: Structure of the product was confirmed by 1HNMR.Conclusion: The overall yield was 76.3%.
