摘要
Silicon microring resonators have demonstrated significant potential in precision sensing applications. Here, we propose, for the first time to the best of our knowledge, an angular velocity sensing method based on dual silicon microring resonators. Silicon microrings were fabricated and used to construct an angular velocity sensing system. Experimental results show that, under the same sensing ring conditions, the sensitivity, angular random walk, and bias instability of the proposed sensing method are improved by 4.5 times, 3.7 times, and 4.8 times, respectively, compared to the optical interferometric sensing method. This research provides a novel solution for the design and implementation of low-cost, high-performance integrated optical gyroscopes, thereby promoting the development of integrated optical sensing technology.
