Automatic speech processing system is a state of the art that focuses on speech recognition, speaker recognition, profiling, and verification. Currently, in this field of research, a new paradigm shift is introduced by adding speech processing and analysis for forensics as well as cybercrime. Abundant research work is carried out in this domain covering various aspects. In this chapter, various approaches and techniques to process and analyse speech for forensic and cybercrime applications are systematically reviewed. It covers the sub-tasks such as speaker recognition, speech enhancement, and synthesis for supporting the forensics and cybercrime investigation. The challenges which encourage solving speech processing and analysis for forensics and cybercrime issues are rendered. The sources of datasets for speaker recognition, speech enhancement, and synthesis are described. The future directions and essential requirements to reinforce speech processing and analysis for forensics as well as the social media area are discussed. Contents
