The directional solidification process of SCN-Cam(Succinonitrile-wt% camphor,wt% is as mass fraction) model alloy was studied with real-time observation devices and directional solidification system.It is indicated that SCN-23.6%Cam eutectic alloy can form the regular eutectic structure under the conventional condition.The eutectic spacing decreases with the increase of moving speed of interface;under the ultrasonic vibration condition,the eutectic alloy grows into the dendritic structure;SCN-21%Cam hypoeutectic alloy grows into the eutectic structure without primary phase in the interface.When change the ultrasonic power,eutectic spacing of SCN-21%Cam alloy increases with the increase of ultrasonic power.
