Progress in Modifying Photocatalytic Activity of Titanium Dioxide

The last research progress in modifying the photocatalytic activity of TiO2 is reviewed.The methods for promoting the photocatalytic activity include rare metal deposition,metal ion doping,surface sensitization,composite semiconductors and photoelectricity catalysis.The mechanisms of doping or modification by using various methods are also analyzed.In the end,the prospect of improving photocatalytic activity of TiO2 is proposed.
