A numerical simulation of internal flow through a centrifugal pump impeller is made by the computational fluid dynamics technique.Using the central finite-volume scheme and the time-matching algorithm,the N-S equation is solved.As a result,we acquire the pressure distribution,the relative velocity vectors and the secondary flow of impeller.In addition,the internal flow through the centrifugal pump impeller is analyzed,the results of which will provide theoretical basis and technical support for optimizing the design of centrifugal pump impellers.
