This project uses active noise control (ANC) to reduce the kitchen hood noise. Two kinds of structures are tested, one uses error microphones and the other without using error microphones. The feedforward 1x2x2 filter-X LMS (FXLMS) algorithm is first applied, then simplified to the 1x1x1 FXLMS, which combines loudspeaker and microphone signals. This project also examines the reference microphone locations. Comparisons are made to determine the best structure and ANC algorithm.
