(Abstracted from Anesth Analg, 121:1308–1314, 2015) Despite no specific approval for use in pediatric populations, the administration of dexmedetomidine (DEX) by bolus in this group has been widely reported. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of rapid intravenous (IV) bolus injection of DEX on emergence agitation (EA).
