The curative effect of ERXIAN granule on chronic prostatitis and the effect on cytokine

Objective To observe the curative effect of ERXIAN granule on chronic prostatitisand the effect on cytokines in the prostatic fluid,such as interleukin-2(IL-2),interleukin-6(IL-6)and interleukin-8(IL-8).Methods 120 patients were randomly divided into two groups,60 cases each.ERXIAN granule was applied in treatment group,QIANLIE KANG tables was taken by the contrast group.The curative effect and the changing of IL-2,IL-6 and IL-8 were observed and compared in two groups after 15 weeks treatment.Results The clinic healing rate of treatment group was 55%and the total effective rate was 85%,there was statistical significance compared with the contrast group(P0.05).The expression of IL-2,IL-6 and IL-8 were decreased after treatment,the effect of treatment group was better than that of the contrast group(P0.05).Conclusion ERXIAN granule may affect the IL-2,IL-6 and IL-8 level in prostatic fluid then do great help to chronic prostatitis.
