Investigation of Clinical Feature and Psychotropic Drugs Used in Aged Mental Disorders

Objective To explore the clinical feature and psychotropic drugs used in aged mental disorders.Methods All of aged inpatients were selected in our hospital from 2004 to 2005,investigated their clinical feature and psychotropic drug used.Results Majority of aged mental disorder patients with various body diseases.110 cases were treated by new antipsychotics and traditional antipsychotics,full remission rate was 16.4%,marked improvement rate was 52.7%,progressive rate was 24.5%,the total effective rate reached 93.6%;it has slight side effects,security highly,and the compliance is better.Conclusion The major symptom of aged mental disorders were sleep disturbance,mirage,stardust.Majority of patients with many sestems disease.The new antipsychotics (Quetiapine、Risperidone、Olanzapine)already gradually replaces traditional antipsychotics were used in aged mental disorders.
