Study on convective heat transfer coefficient for medium and heavy plate high pressure water descaling

In medium plate production, high pressure water descaling convection heat transfer coefficient is an important parameter of the mathematical model of the temperature field. At present, two factors are considered as calculating high pressure water descaling convection heat transfer coefficient, the calculated value of convection heat transfer coefficient is too small or too large.The influence of three factors including the high-pressure water spray nozzle from the billet surface distance, nozzle outlet velocity,the billet surface temperature are considered in the process of calculating high pressure water convective heat transfer coefficient.The high pressure water coefficient of convective heat transfer is calculated using FLUENT software in this paper. A regression mathematical model of high pressure water heat transfer coefficient convection is established using the nonlinear regression method in Matlab. The established mathematical model is used to calculate the convection heat transfer coefficient of the corresponding condition in Anshan Iron and Steel Company wide thick plate plant. The solved heat transfer coefficient is inputted to MARC(finite element software) for analysis of temperature field. The billets temperature is measured in the steel mill. The maximum error is 19℃, the minimum error is 5℃. The studied results show that the finite element simulation results agreed with the experimental results, the mathematical model of high pressure water descaling convection heat transfer coefficient is reasonable.
