The costume-sitcom My Own Swordsman is a big hit in the whole nation, having attracted good publicity. This paper attempts to analyze this TV play's language features by using Halliday's register theory from the perspectives of register switching, register mixing and register borrowing, with the aim of exploring the unique charm of the humor effect it has produced.
